I also appreciate how the main character is a native to the region. Instead of being just a blank canvas for players to impose their own thoughts on, Dani is a fully realized character, complete with her own personality and a generous helping of spunk and resourcefulness.
As someone who picked female Dani, I must say that her character is one of the highlights of the game. Like Far Cry 5, you are once again able to pick between a male or female character for the lead role.
